What skill levels are taught?


Beginner through advanced level students are welcome. Students 4 years and above only please.


What styles of music are taught in lessons?

Mainly classical with a focus on solos, orchestral excerpts, etudes, and chamber music.

When and where do the lessons take place?

Lessons take place in my home studio. Please call or e-mail to inquire about the available lesson times. Flexible daytime openings possible for adults, young children, and home school students.


What materials will I need for flute lessons?

Flute or Piccolo – consult instructor about specific brands and where to buy
Cleaning rod, swab, and cloth
Music – instructor’s recommendations can be purchased through instructor and through www.fluteworld.com, www.amazon.com, or www.ymonline.com
Notebook & Pencil
Metronome, a tuner is also recommended
Music stand (for at home practice)
CD Player (for at home listening)
CDs – flute/orchestral/Suzuki CDs as suggested by instructor


Will there be recitals and performance opportunities?

Every effort will be made to provide as many performance opportunities as possible.
A studio recital will be held annually.


What are the Studio Policies?

Studio Policies
Payment is due by the first lesson of each month.
Make-up lessons will be scheduled at the discretion of the instructor.
No refunds will be given once payments have been made.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the lesson.
